Abstract
The purpose of this study is to report the difference in the outcome of facial paralysis according to Sasang constitution. The subjects were 181 patients who visited the Department of Internal Medicine, Pohang Oriental Hospital of Daegu Haany University from 2011.9 to 2019.2. We used acupuncture and herbal combination therapy. The patient's constitution was diagnosed through the Sasang Constitution Questionnaire, and the treatment result was evaluated by dividing the state of facial paralysis into five stages at the end of treatment. In the 181 cases analyzed, Soyangin was the highest with 35.9%, Soeumin with 12.7%, and Taeeumin with 11%, unlike the general population distribution. In addition, there was no statistically significant difference (p> 0.05), but 'Recovery delayed' was 43.8% in Soyangin, and 18.8% and 12.5% in Soinin and Taeumin, recovery tended to be delayed in Soyangin. In conclusion, by reporting the clinical tendency in Soyangin, it is suggested that "Soyangin can increase the probablity of facial paralysis and delay recovery¡±.
